Today was definitely not 27-year-old Kezil Brazalio’s lucky day.

The proprietor of a club in Charlestown, Georgetown was stabbed to the back and later shot to the knee around 19:00 hrs today.

He is currently hospitalized at a private hospital in a stable condition.

According to information received, Brazalio of Lot 33 Howes and Link Street, Charlestown, was standing on Sussex Street, Albouystown when he noticed his sister-in-law and another female verbally abusing each other.

The victim told the police that as he was walking towards the two women to find out what was happening. The woman’s mother then approached him from behind and dealt him several stabs to the back.

The Guyana Standard was told that the victim fell to the ground and just as he was about to get up and make a run for it, a male from his neighbourhood stood over him and discharged several rounds.

Luckily, only one of the bullets struck the club owner to the left knee.

No one has been arrested.
