The body of 25-year-old Dinesh Ramdas, who drowned on Sunday afternoon at a creek outside of the Splashmin’s Fun Park and Resort located on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway, was recovered this morning.

Ramdas, of Coglan Dam, West Bank Demerara, and his relatives were on an outing when the tragedy happened.

The Guyana Standard has been informed that the young man and his relatives were playing in the water when someone threw a ball over the fence and into the resort’s compound. Ramdas reportedly climbed under the fence to get the ball but never came up back.

The fence separates the resort from the creek outside. A search was done late yesterday for the body but was only found this morning.
