Opportunities of mutual benefit are likely to be shortly set in motion between Russia and Banks DIH, a thriving member of the private sector. Discussions in this regard were recently had when Mr. Clifford B. Reis, C.C.H, Banks DIH’s Chairman/Managing Director met with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, His Excellency Alexander Kurmaz.

The Ambassador was at the time being afforded a visit of the Thirst Park, Corporate Head Office of Banks DIH Limited last Friday.

Ambassador Kurmaz was accompanied by Mrs. Kurmaz and Mr. Dmitry Kornilov, Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

Ambassador Kurmaz and delegation were also taken on a guided tour of the Rum Factory and Soft Drink Plant by Mr. Reis and Plant Executives Mr. Gregory Garraway and Mr. Wendell Ellis.

Apart from the tour and discussions, Mr. Reis and Ambassador Kurmaz were engaged in a working lunch attended by other Banks DIH officials including: Mr. Michael Pereira – Operations Director, Mr. Andrew Carto – Human Resources Director and Mr. Shabir Hussain – Engineering Services Director.
