A man who allegedly removed parts from a parked truck was today charged for the offence.
Thirty-eight-year-old Seon Goodman of Market Square, Port Kaituma, North West District, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Courts.
It is alleged that on October 8, 2019, at Market Square, Port Kaituma, North West District, he stole one master cylinder valued $65,000 and one server valued $85,000, the property of Dellon Lorde.
An unrepresented Goodman denied the charge after it was read to him.
According to information, on the day in question, the victim parked his truck and went out.
On his return, he observed the articles mentioned in the charge missing.
The matter was reported and following an investigation, the defendant was arrested, hence charged for the offence.
Police Prosecutor Quinn Harris made no objections to bail being granted to Goodman but asked that conditions be attached.
Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus, after listening to the facts, released Goodman on $40,000 bail.
Condition of the bail is that he report every Friday to the Port Kaituma Police Station until the hearing and determination of the trial.
The father of five was instructed to make his next court appearance on October 17.
