The police have launched an investigation following the murder of a 19-year-old fisherman yesterday afternoon at Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara (WCD).
The deceased has been identified as Noel Singh of Ocean Garden, Meten-Meer-Zorg. He was stabbed several times and died on arrival at the Leonora Cottage Hospital.
Investigators are looking for a 20-year-old man.
Guyana Standard has been informed that the two men had a disagreement some six days ago which resulted in Singh being assaulted. Yesterday, the men had an argument again and the suspect inflicted the fatal stabs.
He then escaped while the victim was rushed to the hospital.
