Guyana has recorded three more COVID-19 cases; taking the total confirmed cases to 73.
In the daily update, Health Minister Volda Lawrence reported that of the 73 cases, 12 persons have recovered.

Some 410 persons have been tested, of whom 337 are negative. There are five persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 17 in institutional quarantine and 54 in isolation. COVID-19 deaths remain at 7.

According to the Minister, the Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit has reported for the period under review March 16 to April 24th, 2020 that 793 persons have been on Home Quarantine.

To date, 596 persons have completed their 14-day quarantine and they were cleared by the Health Emergency Operations Centre and 197 hundred persons continue to be monitored.

Globally, there are: –
2, 544,792 confirmed cases with 175,694 deaths

In the Region of the Americas
the number of confirmed cases is 957,402 with 47,812 deaths.
