The Environmental Health, Sanitation & Vector Control Unit  of the Health Emergency Operation Centre, during the month of May, did a general sanitization at the Eugene F. Correia International Airport  and the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

Due to the fact that Guyana is having some special flights and continuously internal flights, the unit saw it fit to sanitize the Ports of Entry on a weekly basis to reduce the risk of COVID-19.

The team was headed by Port Health Officer within the Ministry of Public Health, Bonita Lowenfield-McDonald.
