Police are probing the discovery of a man, whose body was found floating in a canal at Palmyra this morning.
The dead man has been identified as 52-year- old Chubbylall Kumar of New Area Canefield East Canje Berbice.
Based on information reaching Guyana Standard, the man was found by a resident partially submerged.
Police said the body was clad in cream short pants, multicolour brief, and a green face mask.
The body is presently at the Arokium Funeral home awaiting a Post Morten Examination (PME).
