Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) and the Guyana Prison Service (GPS) on Tuesday under the command of a Senior Officer conducted a search of the Lusignan Prison. The following prohibited items were found.
1. A quantity of improvised weapons.
2. One tattoo machine.
3. One transparent plastic bag with sugar.
4. Eighteen containers with home made wine.
5. One Guinness bottle.
6. Twenty-two lighters.
7. Fifteen cellular phones without sim cards.
8. A quantity of wires.
9. Seven cellular phone batteries.
10. One cannabis plant.
11. One bottle pepper.
12. One screw driver.
13. One vandalised land line phone.
