Ranks of the Joint Services on Wednesday seized a number of contraband items during a raid of the New Amsterdam Prison on Wednesday.
The raid was conducted between 05:30 hrs and 10:00 hrs in the male and female dormitories.
Among the items seized were 1,045 grams of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis, 15 cell phones, several lighters, wires, earpieces, phone chargers, several razor blades, three mirrors, and a tattoo machine.
