A man accused of broadsiding an employee of the Linden Mayor and Town Council was today charged.

Lindsay Parkes appeared before Her Worship Wanda Fortune in the Linden Magistrate’s Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.

The charge stated that on January 21, 2021, at the Linden Town Council, he assaulted Nieve Mc Almont to cause him actual bodily harm.

The court heard that Parkes went to the Mayor and Town Council to demolish a building. While in the process of doing such, it is alleged that Parkes took a cutlass and broadsided the virtual complaint.

Despite the forging, Her Worship granted the accused bail in the sum of $25,000 and adjourned the matter until January 26, 2021, for disclosure of statements.
