As the COVID-19 vaccination campaign continues across the country for persons 40 years and older, the Ministry of Health (MOH) is urging teachers who are eligible, to take the jab.

They will be required to provide a valid form of identification (ID) when visiting the site closest to them.

The MOH is also urging all persons, who are eligible, to take this opportunity to be vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19 disease.

More than 100 fixed vaccination sites and mobile teams will be administering the first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine countrywide.

Some 250 persons have succumbed to the disease since Guyana confirmed its first imported case back in March 2020.
