Between August, 2020 and May 2021, an 11-year-old Region Seven girl was allegedly raped on several occasions by an adult relative.
The victim reported that the perpetrator continually assaulted her, but her mother scolded her for complaining.
The child confided in another family member who reported the matter to the police. A medical was obtained and the suspect was arrested as enquiries continue.
