The body of 42-year-old, Woodrow John Lepps was found in an abandoned building in Victoria Village, East Coast Demerara, on Monday police said.

Enquires disclosed that Lepps, who police say suffered from epilepsy, had visited his sister, Rita Lepps, earlier in the day.

According to the woman, her brother collected breakfast at around 09:00hrs and went away to an abandoned building in Victoria, where he dwells.

She told police that she received information that her brother died in the said building.

Guyana Standard understands that the body was examined and “what appears to be a wound” was seen on his head.

The body was escorted to CC Nicholson Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty. The body was transported to the Lyken Funeral Parlour. A post-mortem examination will be conducted soon.
