A 34-year-old, Region Five (Mahaica/Berbice) man is the latest COVID-19 fatality, taking the death toll to 588.
Guyana has also recorded 141 new cases of the virus, taking the number of those infected since March 2020 to 23,936
There are 15 persons housed in the Intensive Care Unit, 92 in institutional isolation, 1,048 in home isolation, and two in institutional quarantine.
Some 249,959 tests have been done to date.
