A 23-year-old woman and her husband were robbed a little after midnight this morning at La Grange, West Bank Demerara.
Enquiries disclosed that the victims were walking along the La Grange Public Road when two unidentified males, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife, approached the couple and relieved them of their belongings. The suspects then made good their escape on foot.
They were relieved of one haversack containing one ID card, one Bankcard, one umbrella valued at $1000, $42,000,00 cash, one Blu Cellphone valued at $4,000.00, one silver metal chain valued at $17,000.00.
Investigations are ongoing.
