A Sisters Village man is now nursing stab wounds he got from his drinking buddy last night at Belle West, West Bank Demerara.
The male suspect, identified only as “Banga”, is on the run.
Enquiries disclosed that both the victim and suspect were consuming alcohol when an argument ensued. The suspect then grabbed a glass bottle and dealt the victim several stabs about his body causing him to receive injuries.
The victim then raised an alarm and persons in the area took him to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he was treated by a doctor on duty and referred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. He was further treated and admitted a patient in a stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
