The Ministry of Health (MOH) has informed that two more persons, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 613.

The latest fatalities are two males, a 47-year-old from Region One (Barima-Waini) and a 47-year-old from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica). They both died while receiving care at a medical facility.

Meanwhile, the country has recorded an additional 80 cases of the virus, taking the number of confirmed infections since March 2020 to 25,403.

There are 31 persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 106 in institutional isolation, 1,740 in home isolation and 9 in institutional quarantine.

Some 22,913 persons have recovered so far, with 265,731 tests done to date.
