Two persons, including a 16-year-old, are now nursing injuries following a heated argument over a pig last night at No. 51 Village, Corentyne Berbice.

The teen, Tyrese George, remains hospitalised, while another man, Morvin Ross, 56, was treated and discharged.

Police say that Tyrese’s father, Terrence and one Wayne Heyligar had a misunderstanding over a pig which led to a heated argument. Ross subsequently came in with a cutlass and Tyrese took it away and ran Wayne.
Heyligar, however, took away the cutlass and chopped the 16-year-old on the top of his head. Terrence, upon seeing this, picked up a piece of wood, ran towards Ross, and lashed him to the forehead.
Ross and Tyrese, were picked up in a conscious state and escorted to the Skeldon Public Hospital. Terrence George has since been arrested.
