Murdered Onderneeming Housing Scheme labourer, Archaelus Anthony Miguel, 59, was chopped 24 times, a post-mortem examination today revealed.
Miguel was killed on September 6 at Great Troolie Island, Essequibo River.
The man’s son has since confessed to the crime.
When questioned about the disappearance of his father, he blurted out to cops, “I chop he up cos he de troubling me”.
He was immediately told of the allegations and cautioned.
He later escorted the ranks to the scene which was about 3 miles into the backdam. On arrival, he pointed to the area where he chopped his father and a location where he dragged the body and hid it under some branches.
Government Pathologist, Dr Nehaul Singh gave the cause of death as multiple incise wounds.
The body was then handed over to his relatives for funeral arrangements.
