A 26-year-old Betsy Ground, East Canje, Berbice man is in police custody after ranks uncovered 11.34 kilogrammes (25lbs) of cannabis in an old, discarded freezer in his yard this morning around 06:30.
Police said they found a black, bulky plastic bag, containing twelve brown, bulky wrapped parcels and two transparent parcels all containing a quantity of cannabis leaves, seeds, and stems.
The suspect was told of the offence committed, cautioned, and arrested.
He was arrested and taken to Central Police Station along with the cannabis and one black and red XR motorcycle.
He was placed into custody pending further investigations and charges.
