Remand prisoner, Columbian National Alberto Jose this morning assaulted Yulerdy Caromota, a female Venezuelan, at the Wales Magistrateโs Court in full view of a magistrate.
Guyana Standard understands that while Jose was being escorted into the court to answer to the charge of unlawful assault, he jumped the prisonerโs dock and held onto the complainantโs neck, and choked her in the presence of the Magistrate.
He was however restrained by a constable performing sentry duties and was escorted to the lockups.
The prisoner was further remanded until March 30, 2022.
LMAO… now he gotta serve a laaaang sentence for attempted murder… dumbazz.
