Rodwell Phillips, the 33-year-old Charlestown mason who was found dead on a city thoroughfare earlier this week, died of a stab wound to the heart, a post-mortem examination (PME) has found.

Phillips, called “Fishie” was found motionless on the La Penitence Public Road, next to a cutlass sometime around midnight on August 1, 2022.

The PME with dissection was conducted on the remains of Rodwell Phillips this morning by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh, after being identified by the Phillips’ mother and sister. The body has since been handed over to his relatives for cremation.
