In keeping with the new regulations of registering and acquiring licenses for E-bikes, Police ranks in Region 4’C’ have launched a sensitization campaign to educate operators of these bikes about the new regulations and process.

As a result, on Friday, February 17, 2023, Sergeant Scott met with several owners of electronic bikes and informed them that soon they would have to get a valid driver’s license to operate the bikes. He also reminded them that the bikes must be registered with the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA).

Sergeant Scott also advised them that since a motorcycle license is now needed to operate said bikes, they should not allow persons and children under the age of 16 to operate the bikes on the roadways.
