As allegations of election-related fraud continue to swing back and forth, this publication has been provided with several pieces of evidence suggesting that A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) forged several signatures on the list it presented to the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) for the upcoming Local Government Elections.

According to evidence presented thus far, close to 40 names have to be removed from lists presented to GECOM offices across the country.

One Lindener, Marsha McKennin, recently had cause to write the Returning Officer in her district to have her name removed from the list of candidates presented for APNU.

Several others in districts across the country are contending that their signatures were forged as backers and as candidates for the APNU. In fact, Guyana Standard understands that one PPP candidate found her name on the list as a backer for APNU.

Guyana Standard is also in receipt of other damning information on this issue and will report as soon as confirmation can be had.
