TITAN Guyana Inc, in a bold move to cater to various sectors, has unveiled a comprehensive plan for a state-of-the-art cold and dry storage facility. This ambitious project aims to serve the Agricultural and Fisheries sector, as well as meet the demands of private and commercial businesses, especially in support of the thriving oil and gas industry.

In its project summary submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the company said the proposed land was allocated for a vast container storage yard, offering versatile storage solutions, including dry and maintenance storage.

TITAN Guyana Inc also pledged support for local agro-processing businesses and committed to bulk processing of coconut water for both local consumption and export. It said the venture extends to processing various agricultural products and spices, with the ultimate goal of enhancing Guyana’s foreign earnings and contributing to the country’s gross domestic product.

One standout feature of TITAN Guyana’s initiative was its commitment to providing affordable, customized housing and commercial accommodation. This approach not only lowers construction costs but also champions environmentally-friendly solutions, aligning with stringent building codes.

Environmental considerations took center stage as well. Potential emissions, such as carbon monoxide, particulate matter, and oxides of nitrogen from backup generators and welding fumes, were addressed with mitigation measures. The company said the facility’s foundation was reinforced with concrete to act as a noise and vibration buffer. Noise from vehicle operations and container handling will also be strategically managed to avoid continuous disturbances.

TITAN Guyana dubs its project as not only a beacon of industrial innovation but also a symbol of sustainable development, set to make a profound impact on the storage and processing landscape in Guyana. With its green initiatives and holistic approach to business, it promises to usher a new era of economic growth while preserving the environment.
