Located in the vibrant commercial area of Lethem, Region Nine, the Rupununi Eco Hotel is poised to undergo renovations to increase its appeal to patrons. In a submission to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), it was noted that the new version of the hotel will see 58 rooms and suites spanning economy to executive levels.

The project summary said each space will embody comfort and sophistication, adhering to international standards that aim to secure a three-four star certification.

It was further noted that guests can anticipate a harmonious blend of modern amenities and eco-conscious practices. Every room will feature essential conveniences such as plush seating, ergonomic desks, and climate control, complemented by cable TV, hot showers, and kitchenettes equipped with fridge, microwave, and electric kettle. Moreover, a focus on solid waste management, renewable energy sources like solar and wind, and water recycling initiatives underscored the hotel’s commitment to sustainable tourism.

Beyond accommodation, the Rupununi Eco Hotel will offer a plethora of facilities to enrich the guest experience. A business center, souvenir shop, restaurant, and bar will cater to various needs, while meeting rooms, a gym, and a pool will cater to both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, banquet and conference halls will provide ample space for events, fostering partnerships with local businesses and international counterparts to promote tourism in the region.

Integral to the hotel’s ethos is a dedication to staff training and efficiency, leveraging modern methods and technology to ensure unparalleled service. As a proud member of the Rupununi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG), the Rupununi Eco Hotel is actively pursuing licensing from the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) and authorization from the Environment Protection Agency (EPA).

With a strategic focus on international business relations and partnership with local enterprises, the Rupununi Eco Hotel aims to elevate tourism in the region, contributing to the socio-economic well-being of Lethem residents and the broader Rupununi community.
