The body of a Linden man was found lying motionless along Chiney Road West in Moblissa on Saturday.
Police said they are investigating the alleged murder of Andries Allicock, 42, of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, whose body was discovered on Saturday at approximately 08:30 hrs along Chiney Road West, Moblissa, on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway
According to preliminary reports, a resident walking in the area noticed the motionless body of a man lying on the roadside. The individual promptly reported the discovery to the police.
Police ranks responded to the scene, where they conducted an examination of the body and observed injuries. The deceased was then transported to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was taken to G-Jetsco Funeral Home and is currently awaiting a post-mortem examination.
As part of the ongoing investigation, several individuals have been contacted and questioned by authorities to gather additional information and establish the circumstances leading to the man’s demise.
