Presidential candidate for A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), Aubrey Norton, disclosed at his press conference today that the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association Ltd (GMSA) has cancelled its business luncheon.
Norton told members of the media today that his speech was already prepared for the event which was scheduled to take place on August 4 and 12, featuring himself and President Dr Irfaan Ali, the presidential candidate for the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) respectively.
However, on July 31, GMSA announced that due to unforeseen circumstances, the luncheon had been cancelled.
Norton said today, “As far as I am aware they had invited me to speak to the luncheon and then they sent a message saying after careful consideration they will no longer be holding the luncheon and as I gathered, it wasn’t going to be me alone, it was also going to be President Irfaan Ali.”
