Police are investigating the discovery of a firearm and ammunition following an operation conducted on Tuesday January 20, 2026 between 19:00hrs and 23:30hrs at Three Miles, Wisroc, Linden, in relation to a video circulating on social media involving wanted man Jamal Bourne, also called “Skinny.”

Acting on information received, ranks from Regional Divisions 3 and 10 proceeded to the area where a search was conducted at a wooden structure situated in dense vegetation. During the search, a black and silver Taurus pistol with its serial number filed off was found concealed under a mattress, along with six (6) live .32 rounds of ammunition.

Further searches revealed a heap of burnt material in close proximity to the wooden structure. As a result, forensic experts have been deployed to the area to conduct further examinations and searches to determine the origin and nature of the material.

Six persons who were present at the location were arrested and escorted to the Mackenzie Police Station, where the firearm and ammunition were lodged.

The six arrested are: an 18-year-old male farmer of Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke–Linden Highway; an 18-year-old female of Bell West Housing Scheme, West Bank Demerara (WBD); a 20-year-old male labourer of Beaver Street, North Ruimveldt; a 20-year-old male of Kaneville, East Bank Demerara; a 21-year-old female of Samatta Point, Grove, EBD; and a 26-year-old male farmer of Church Street, Georgetown

The six remain in custody as investigations continue.

Bourne, who is wanted for the 2024 murder of Akeem Hamer, was seen in a video last Sunday shooting himself to his head.
