Two of the seven people charged with the alleged bombing of a Regent Street gas station in October last year have been freed.

Ramesh Pramdeo and Wayne Correia were discharged at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court by Principal Magistrate Her Worship Alisha George after the court upheld a no-case submission. Defence attorney Bernard DaSilva said he appeared for both men and successfully argued that there was insufficient evidence against them.

The third accused, Jennifer Rodrigues, a 33-year-old Venezuelan national, was committed to stand trial in the High Court.

Meanwhile, alleged mastermind Daniel Alexander Ramirez Poedemo, who has since claimed sole responsibility for the alleged terrorist attack, remains before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court alongside three others, with their matter adjourned to May 20.

The explosion which occurred on October 26, 2025, resulted in the death of eight-year-old Soraya Bourne.

Eight-year-old Radad Lord and 11-year-old Sadiya McLintock, Jennifer Cooper, 27, and 71-year-old Yvonne Jones sustained had sustained injuries.
