The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has launched its inaugural “Green Note – News on the Environment” Magazine. The publication was launched on February 15, 2019, at the Kingston, Georgetown Umana Yana. This publication aims to provide intriguing, pertinent and concise information on the environment into the public and private domains in a reader friendly format.

The goal is to increase public education and awareness and foster better environmental stewardship at all levels of society. The event was attended by members of government, the private sector, non-governmental organisations and youth groups. The simple but significant ceremony saw partners officially receiving their copies of “Green Note”.

Delivering remarks were: Executive Director of the EPA, Dr. Vincent Adams; Chairman of the EPA Board, Dr. Patrick Williams and Ms. Onika Stellingburg, Stakeholder Management Coordinator, Department of Environment.

The EPA has extended appreciation to its partners who contributed to the success of the publication and said that it looks forward to continued support as “we synergize our efforts to make greater inroads for a sustainable and prosperous Guyana.”
