Investigators are probing the murder of a 58-year-old man, whose body with several chop wounds, was discovered in a trench this morning.
The discovery was made around 05:00 hrs.
The deceased has been identified as David Gentle of Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD)
The Guyana Standard has been informed that the victim was imbibing at a shop in the village and left to go home around 01:30 hrs this morning.
However, Gentle never made it home. His body with multiple chop wounds was found in the trench.
