Three men who are accused of breaking into a Chinese store and carting off with a quantity of children bicycles, were today arraigned for the offence.

Those charged are Karl Mangal, 28, a farmer of Princes Street Lodge; Rodwell Phillips, 30, a Mason of 31 Broad Street, Charlestown and Leonard Allicock, 33, a fisherman of 32 Albouystown.

The trio denied the charge which stated that on December 21, 2019 at Evans Street, Charlestown, Georgetown, they broke and entered the storage bond of Tai Lee and stole 25 children bicycles valued $300,000 and a quantity of clothing valued $633,000, property of Tai Lee.

The men were represented by Attorney-at-law Paul Fung-a-fat who asked that they be released on reasonable bail.

While the court prosecutor did not disclose facts in the matter, he had no objections to bail being granted to the men.

The Magistrate released the trio on $150,000 bail each. They were instructed to make their next court appearance on January, 7,2020.
