An early morning operation by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) has resulted in the seizure of 14.2 kilograms of marijuana in a clump of bushes in an abandoned yard at Howes Street, Georgetown. Someone has been arrested and is assisting with investigations. CANU suspects that the quantity of illegal drug which is equivalent to 31 pounds, was brought from Berbice.
