A police constable who held a private party over the weekend was today charged for breach of restriction on social activities.

Timothy Morrison, stationed at the Brickdam Police Station and attached to the Impact Base, appeared before Her Worship Zamilla Ally-Seepaul in the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on January 14, 2021, at Fellowship, West Coast Demerara (WCD), he breached the restriction on social activities contrary to Section 21 (2) of the Public Health Ordinance, Chapter 145.

Her Worship Ally-Seepaul granted Morrison bail in the sum of $15,000 and postponed the case until March 23, 2021, for trial.
