Police constables Roger Smith and Kevin Watson were today charged for allegedly assaulting two civilians.
The duo appeared before Her Worship Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court and was charged with the offence of assault causing actual bodily harm committed on Devon Trotman and unlawful wounding committed on Glen Eastman.
The court heard that the incident occurred on October 11, 2020, at Cinderella City Amelia’s Ward.
Constable Smith, who was represented by Attorney-at-law Leslyn Charles, pleaded not guilty while Constable Watson was unrepresented and pleaded not guilty.
Her Worship granted the duo bail in the sum of $25,000 each and adjourned the matter to February 12, 2021, for report and fixture.
