Three more persons, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 403. Guyana Standard understands that the patients were admitted with COVID-19-like symptoms, but died while receiving care at medical institutions. Samples were taken at the time of admission, which subsequently returned positive tests.

Also, Guyana has recorded an additional 83 cases, which takes the number of confirmed infections since March 2020 to 17,459.
Some 15,162 have recovered. There are 17 patients in the Intensive Care Unit and 1,772 in home isolation.
