The COVID-19 death count in Guyana now stands at 503, with four more persons succumbing to the virus.
The latest victims were admitted with COVID-19 like symptoms but died while receiving care at medical institutions. Samples were taken at the time of admission which subsequently returned positive tests, the Ministry said.

Meanwhile, the country has recorded 168 new cases, taking the number of infections since March 2020 to 21,223. Eleven persons are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
