Fazil Khalil, 51, unemployed of Ann’s Grove Squatting Area, East Coast Demerara was sentenced to 30 months in prison for robbing Elizabeth Miguel, a shopkeeper of Chiney Road Moblissa, Linden Highway.
The accused was arrested on December 14 and charged yesterday for Robbery Under Arms Contrary to Section 222 (c) of the Criminal Law Offence Act Chapter 08:01.
He appeared before Magistrate Miss Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate Court via Zoom where the indictable charge was read to him, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to thirty months’ imprisonment.
