Around 14:30hrs yesterday, two teenagers crashed into each other on the Karaudanawau Trail Road, Region Nine, resulting in their demise.

It is alleged that motorcycle, NAZ 9974, driven by Lennon Wilson,18, of Katoonarib Village South Rupununi, was proceeding east along the northern side headed in a western direction out of a track. Whilst, motorcycle, NAP 7804, driven by Jobe Edwards,19, of Karaudanawau Village South Rupununi, was proceeding north along the western side heading in a southern direction on Karaudanawau Trail.

The teens collided. They were both picked up in an unconscious state by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Aishalton Health Centre, where Wilson was pronounced dead on arrival. Edwards was treated for head injuries and lacerations about his body and later referred to the Lethem Regional Hospital to seek further medical attention. He unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
