The Ministry of Health (MOH) has informed that as of March 15, 2022, one more person who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1,226.
The latest fatality is an 83-year-old, fully vaccinated, Region Six woman, who passed away yesterday.
Guyana has also recorded 12 new cases, taking confirmed infections since March 2020 to 63,169 from 556,729 tests. There are five persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 15 in institutional isolation, 151 in home isolation, and 12 in institutional quarantine.
