Police ranks in Regional Division 9 have recovered the body of 53-year-old, Michael Adolph of Tabatinga, Lethem, Central Rupununi. The body was found in a village well.
According to the deceased man’s 23-year-old daughter, she last saw her father on Monday, November 7, 2022, at about 05:30hrs when he left home.
On November 10, 2022, at about 17:30hrs, a 40-year-old housewife of Tabatinga who went to fetch water from the well, discovered the man’s body.
The matter was immediately reported to the Lethem Police Station.
The body was retrieved and examined for marks of violence and two small cuts were seen on the man’s forehead.
The body is presently at the Lethem Hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
