Two Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) brothers are slated to answer drug possession charges soon, after cops found almost 70 grammes of cannabis at the brothers’ place of abode on Thursday.

At around 05:30hrs police ranks went to the village, where contact was made the siblings, 24-year-old Kevin De’cruz and 25-year-old Patrick De’cruz.

A search was subsequently carried out in Kevin De’cruz bedroom, where one large transparent bag containing cannabis was found. He was told of the offence committed and under caution he replied: ”Is just a small portion, I can deal with that.”

A further search was carried out in the hall where another transparent plastic bag containing cannabis was found on the table.

They were told of the offence committed and Patrick De’cruz replied: ”Is me thing, is a lil thing”.

They were arrested and escorted to the Leonora Police Station along with the cannabis.

The parcels weighed 54.5g and 13.3g respectively. Both brothers were placed into custody pending charges.
