Dexter Griffith, 52, residing at lot 20 Viva-la-Force, was apprehended on June 21, 2023, at the 70KM Police Check Point following the discovery of 199 grams of cannabis sativa in his possession. Today, on June 23, he appeared before Magistrate Christel Lambert at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court, facing charges under Section 5(1) (a) (i) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Control Act Chapter 10:10.
During the court proceedings, the charge of Possession of Narcotics was formally presented to Griffith, who pleaded not guilty. Following this, bail was granted in the amount of $100,000. The case is scheduled to resume on July 9, 2023.
