Am armed robbery charge was dismissed against Anderson Cyril, a Tabatinga, Lethem, food vendor.
Today, Magistrate Omadatt Chandan upheld the no-case submission brought by Cyril’s attorney, Bernard Da Silva and subsequently dismissed the matter.
Cyril was arrested on November 10, 2024, in connection with the alleged robbery under-arms.
The particulars of the charge stated that Cyril, on Sunday, 10th November, 2024, at the Commercial Zone, Lethem, being in the company of three others, armed with hand guns, allegedly robbed Weo Gao, of a quantity of cellular phones, valued at $1,620,000, and GYD$500,000.
