Agriculture Minister, Zulfikar Mustapha, today met with residents of Manawarin, Karaburi and other surrounding villages in Barima-Waini (Region One), as part of a Cabinet outreach led by President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali.

During the engagement, residents raised a number of issues affecting their communities, while farmers highlighted challenges impacting agricultural production. In response, Minister Mustapha made several commitments and immediate interventions aimed at supporting the community and strengthening agricultural activities.

Among the measures announced, farmers will receive planting materials and other agricultural inputs to boost production and expand cultivation. Minister Mustapha also committed to providing support for land clearing to facilitate increased agricultural activities and improve access to productive farmland.

Minister Mustapha assured residents that the concerns raised during the meeting would be addressed through the relevant agencies, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to ensuring that development reaches every community across the country.

Member of Parliament Dr. Jennifer Westford and other officials from the Ministry of Agriculture also participated in the outreach.
