The Guyana Police Force is seeking the public’s help in locating a South Ruimveldt resident for questioning in relation to unlawful distribution of fuel markers.

Wanted is Stanley Paul. His last address is known to be Lot 256 Dove Square, South Ruimveldt Gardens, Georgetown. He is being sought for questioning into unlawful distribution of fuel markers, committed at the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) back in April this year.

The Police are asking anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Stanley Paul to make contact on telephone numbers 226-2870, 229-2655, 229-2289, 227-1149, 226-7065, 911, or the nearest Police station.

All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Markers are added to refined fuels by national governments to combat smuggling, dilution and adulteration. Fuel marketers deploy marking programs to prevent grade switching and to ensure proper levels of additive are present. Proprietary markers can include those that can indicate a pass / fail or quantitative result in the field with test kits or portable analysers, and forensic markers that are detected via laboratory-based analysis.
