Opposition Leader, Bharrat Jagdeo will be suing Central Committee Member of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNC/R), Aubrey Norton, for recent statements to the effect that he colluded with Trinidadian tycoons to bribe former AFC Member, Charrandas Persaud to support his No-Confidence Motion that was passed on December 21, last.

The former Head of State made this declaration at a press conference held earlier today.

At his Church Street office, Jagdeo noted that he will also be suing all media platforms which repeated the PNC/R scandal. Further to this, Jagdeo said that he is not the least bit surprised that Norton would be fronted by the PNC/R to make such statements as he is a well known “political thug.”

The Opposition Leader also commented that he knows he would not be able to get anything much from Norton once the lawsuit is filed and is successful. He remarked that the most he would be able to do with the winnings from Norton is purchase two bottles of rum. Be that as it may, he will still go ahead with the lawsuit.
