Almost four months after he was shot in his home and left paralysed in his left arm, School of the Nations’ Director, Dr. Brian O’Toole is offering a reward for the suspected shooter’s arrest.

The school’s principal, who is currently in the United States of America (USA) undergoing his fifth surgery on his arm, is offering a $1M reward for information leading to the arrest of the teenager who shot him on January 27, 2019.

The suspect is a former student of the school.

“Please call 227-4623 between the hours of 8 am to 6 pm. Information will be treated in complete confidence,” Dr. O’Toole said in a statement this morning.

He continued, “with an attempted murderer on the loose, sadly, it asks questions of Guyana as a ‘safe’ place to live and invest and questions who might be next.”

The Guyana Standard has been informed that the suspected shooter is the son of an official in the judicial system.

An audio recording of the suspect laughing and gloating about the incident has been handed over to the Guyana Police Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) since the teen is said to be hiding out in Florida.

Dr. O’Toole said that he received information that the shooter was flown out of Guyana the day after the shooting.

“My own belief, all along, is that the shooting is related to the perverse video ‘game’ Fortnite with the shooter doing the ‘default’ dance as he was trying to kill me. This is the same ‘game’ that Prince Harry has launched a campaign against to rid from the UK,” the educator said.

O’Toole was shot twice to the arm on the night of January 27, 2019, at his Bel Air Promenade, Georgetown home.

The shooter was at the educator’s home, waiting on him to arrive.
